Video: Luis Suarez got a hat-trick but Daniel Sturridge scored arguably the goal of the day at Anfield

We didn’t think we’d be saying it after seeing Luis Suarez’s hat-trick and his first two goals in particular, but Daniel Sturridge scored the best goal in Liverpool’s 4-1 rout of West Brom today.

We didn’t think we’d be saying it after seeing Luis Suarez’s hat-trick and his first two goals in particular, but Daniel Sturridge scored the best goal in Liverpool’s 4-1 rout of West Brom today.

The SAS partnership have been on fire since Suarez returned from the suspension that kept him out at the start of the season and they were at their devastating best against a West Brom side that couldn’t live with them at Anfield.

Suarez led the Baggies a merry dance in the first half and scored two brilliant individual goals, the first an excellent solo effort and the second a rocket of a header from the edge of the box, both of which you can see here.

The Uruguayan completed his hat-trick with a header after the break but Sturridge saved the best ‘til last with a magnificent chip over Boaz Myhill from the edge of the area to complete a very satisfying afternoon for the Reds.
