That’s a slip of the tongue if ever there was one

After getting the first trophy of his reign as Manchester City manager under his belt, Manuel Pellegrini was understandably in a pretty good mood when he was interviewed after the game. In case you missed it all, the game turned on its head after Samir Nasri and Yaya Toure scored two stunning goals to give City the lead, who had trailed from a Fabio Borini opener.

Jesus Navas rounded off the game to give his side the win, and as a result Pellegrini’s mind may have been elsewhere when he was asked about the pressure that he was under as Manchester City boss. In a very big slip of the tongue, he accidentally said that he loved the pressure of managing Manchester United, which might not go down too well with some die-hard Sky Blues fans.

We presume that the way things are going for David Moyes at Old Trafford at the minute, he’d happily swap for a while if Manuel was interested in it.
