The meteorite blast over the Urals in Russia might have spectacular to look at, but it certainly did some damage as well, as was the case in this office building.
If you haven’t seen it yet, a meteorite flew over the Urals region in Russia in the early hours of this morning and exploded in the skies, sending out shock waves that blew out windows and doors in buildings below and caused as many as 400 injuries, although none of them are believed to be serious.
For an idea of how unexpected the blast came to those in close proximity, take a look at the video above where two office workers were taken completely by surprise when the windows of their office were blown out and they were thrown suddenly onto the floor by the sheer force of the shockwaves.
While that gives you an idea of the force of the blast, the video below illustrates the incredibly loud noise the blast generated, no doubt providing an unintended wake-up alarm for the many sleeping in their beds early this morning.
Mad stuff, Ted.
