Mick McCarthy had a lot of questions to answer about the Martin O’Neill and Roy Keane partnership
The big news of the week here in Ireland was undoubtedly the appointments of Martin O’Neill and Roy Keane at the helm of the national football team, but one man that doesn’t seem too pleased about the whole thing is Mick McCarthy.
At his press conference for Ipswich today, he was asked quite a few questions about the appointment of the two lads, and judging by his very strange response, he doesn’t seem pleased. When pressed, he continues to stare down the reporter who asked, and eventually just laughs straight at him instead.
We get the impression that he might be slightly bitter about the selection process judging by what he says about his own stats when in charge of the team, and maybe he and Roy Keane aren’t on the best of terms.
