Video: NFL sideline reporter gets hit in the face by football

One slightly miscued pass ended up smacking Pam Oliver right in the chops. Thankfully, she wasn’t hurt.

NFL sidelines are dangerous places, with hundreds of people milling around as well as two teams trying to beat the crap out of each other. But Fox's Pam Oliver is a veteran of the sideline reporting world, so she probably thought she was safe enough during warm-ups ahead of the pre-season game between the Colts and the Giants.

Instead, as she had her back to the field a loose pass by Colts QB Chandler Harnish smacked her right in the face. It looked painful but Oliver was fine, laughing off the incident in a later piece to camera.

And, in fairness to Harnish, he sent a tweet to apologise too.
