Gaelic Games is the lifeblood of the community, it gets everyone together and pulling in the same direction, it's brilliant. Another reason it's brilliant is because it's also a hot-bed of absolute hilarity, particularly the lower down the grades you go.
Kildare football is in decent shape at the moment, we think Jason Ryan will do a decent job with them. But if you delve deeper into football in the county, you'll find pure gold as you're about to see.
This is footage from a Junior C League match between Maynooth v Clogherinkoe on Monday night and we think it pretty much sums up the joys of Junior C Football.
Look out for the dirty dig by number six, the roars from auld lads on the sideline and the predictable but brilliant wide by the forward at the end...
A huge thanks to Peter Kinsella who took the video, he was playing in the match and was subbed off for the guy who kicked the wide, so we can only imagine what a talented baller he is... This got the biggest laugh in JOE offices today.
