Alan Shearer was a brilliant goalscorer. The fact that his Premier League tally of 260 is a massive 73 ahead of nearest rival Andy Cole tells you just how much better he was than any striker playing in England over the last two decades.
As a manger he wasn’t so good, as his brief stint in charge of Newcastle saw the team relegated. As an analyst, Shearer doesn’t have too many fans with his less than engaging style and now we can add singing to the things that the former striker is not too brilliant at.
Captured in a boozer in Northumberland, Shearer had a lash at Lionel Richie’s All Night Long recently. Brace yourself, this might be the longest three minutes and 24 seconds of your life.
