There's being a hard man, and there's being an eejit, and this is possibly one of those occasions where someone is both.

Erik Pieters was sent off for a challenge in PSV's game against PEC Zwolle last night, the latter being a team Pro Evolution Soccer players might know if they've ever tried the Become a Legend mode in the game.

Now, it was pretty clear that he didn't agree it was a red (doesn't look like the most intelligent sliding challenge in the world to us), but his reaction is a little bit over the top here.

After being sent down the tunnel, Pieters rage gets the better of him as he kicks the wall and then, as he disappears into the depths of the stadium, everyone's attention is turned by a huge crashing sound as he smashes a window.

As you can well imagine though, smashing a window comes with its own problems, as the camera captures an image of the broken glass with his blood all over it.

If you want you can Google the photo of his injuries by slapping “eric pieters stitches” into image search, but if you're eating lunch or you don't like gore, then we REALLY advise against it.
