Video: Rickie Fowler’s brilliant water-skimming trick-shot at the Masters

Earlier we brought you the worst shot that will be taken at Augusta this weekend but although it won’t prove particularly important, this one from Rickie Fowler will be up there as one of the best.

As the sight of Caroline Wozniacki making a balls of a tee-shot clearly illustrated, the day before the start of the Masters tournament at Augusta is all about having a bit of a fun before the serious business starts on Thursday morning.

While Wozniacki was hitting a tee-shot into the water 15 yards away, however, the top guys were indulging in a little showboating, none more so than Rickie Fowler, who outrageously skimmed his ball across the water hazard and within putting distance of the pin with the ease of somebody simply skimming a stone across a pond.

As much as we’d love to see him adopt that approach when the actual tournament starts it’s simply not going to happen, but if he did and it went wrong, he could borrow one of these babies off his buddy Bubba Watson to retrieve his errant ball.
