This goal was actually scored a few weeks back but we’re only after stumbling upon it now and felt we just had to bring it to your attention.

It is from a Scottish youth football game between Spartans and Edinburgh South with the former side eventually putting the ball in the net with a stunning long-range effort after approximately a minute of sustained period of pressure that looked to have come to nothing until the Spartans number 17 took it upon himself to send a cracking effort to the roof of the net from 30 yards.

Sustained period of pressure would be putting it mildly, in fact, as not since Steven Seagal was in his prime has anyone been as under siege as Edinburgh South, who somehow managed to keep the ball out of the net thanks to the frame of the goal and some heroic defending until all their hard work was undone by a piece of individual brilliance at the end.

If at first you don’t succeed etc.
