Forget cutting the cake, attempts at this ridiculous shot should be obligatory at every wedding henceforth.

Forget cutting the cake, attempts at this ridiculous shot should be obligatory at every wedding henceforth.

Celtic fans will remember Shansuke Nakamura with great fondness thanks to his exploits at Celtic Park – remember that free kick against Man United in the Champions League anyone? – but although he’s still playing with Yokohama F-Marinos in the J-League, football fans on this side of the water are as likely to see him performing novelty trick shots on Japanese television these days.

For his latest, trick, Shansuke attempted to knock the bride and groom figurines off the top of a wedding cake situated a good distance away and if that wasn’t a difficult enough feat as it is, it was made even harder by the fact that the cake appeared to be perched on a motorised platform that moved it up and down.

We’re not sure how many attempts Shansuke had but he managed to pull it off without disturbing a single crumb with a shot that was good enough to eat and reminiscent of all those brilliant free-kicks he’s scored over the years.

Tasty effort alright.
