It wasn’t a vintage game by any means, but Alexis Sanchez’s sublime effort was a goal worthy of winning any game.
The Chilean’s goal came at an opportune time for the hosts at Camp Nou as Real were showing signs of getting an equaliser after a poor performance in the first half, when Neymar gave Barca the lead with a deflected effort.
With just over ten minutes remaining, however, substitute Alexis ran onto a ball at the edge of the Real penalty area and composed himself before executing a perfect chip over Diego Lopez for a goal that ultimately proved to be the winner despite a consolation effort from Jese Rodriguez for Real late on.

Real will feel hard done by having denied what looked like a clear penalty when Javier Mascherano barged into Ronaldo in the area when the visitors were chasing an equaliser and the feeling that it wasn’t Ronaldo’s night was hammered home when Dani Alves did this shortly after Barca’s second goal.
Ouch.
