With all the helmets and stuff, you don’t get many punches in American football, college or NFL level. What’s the point, you’re only going to end up hurting your hand.
But Clemson’s Isaiah Battle appears to have perfected a stunning uppercut that catches N.C. State’s Jarvis Byrd right under the chin, sending him flying.
The punch is short, fast and pretty much perfect, one that any boxer would be proud of. Sadly, it is nothing to be proud of here, and Battle faces a ban. Skip to around 1.50 in the below clip and watch No 79 in the white shirt.

Thankfully Byrd is okay, but he never saw this coming. And NC State lost, 26-14 so it was a very bad night for Byrd.
