They certainly love their PlayStations…
In an effort to encourage a festive spirit amongst their fans, a lot of football clubs rope their players in for Christmas-related video content at this time of year and Celtic were no different when asking their players to discuss the best and worst Christmas presents they have received over the years.
Most of the answers were fairly run of the mill – best present some form of PlayStation, worst present socks, that sort of thing – but there were interesting responses from a few of the players, such as Anthony Stokes, who doesn’t place much value in presents at all and Derk Boerrigter, who unwittingly reveals a potential BO problem when discussing a gift he received from a family member of an ex-girlfriend in the past.
Derk obviously missed the formulaic response memo that had been handed out to the rest of the players and while we appreciate his honesty, we still wouldn’t get too close for fear of, well, you know…
