Having gone nearly 21 hours without conceding a goal, Fraser Forster conceded two in five minutes last night, but it required a bit of a thunderbastard to break his record in the first place.

The Hoops netminder’s remarkable run of 13 clean sheets on the bounce came to an end as Celtic crashed to a 2-1 defeat to Aberdeen in Pittodrie last night, with Jonny Hayes sending a cracking effort into the top corner five minutes before the break to end a record that had stood for 43 years before it was broken by the England ‘keeper on Saturday.

Adam Rooney added insult to injury with a header just before the half-time break on what was a pretty miserable night for Celtic overall, but Forster can take solace in the fact that no ‘keeper would have stopped that shot and that the record he did set will probably stand for at least another 40 years.
