Most of the season was spent wondering if he would make it back in time for the playoffs but in the end it was decided he would not make his return until the new season tipped off.
That robbed Chicago of any real shot of challenging Miami in the East and the Heat went on to win their second title on the bounce.
But at least one YouTuber reckons the return of Rose will make a big difference next year. He splices together a chilling speech from Benedict Cumberbatch’s baddie in Star Trek: Into Darkness with footage of Rose destroying the Heat and LeBron when he was fit.
