'Next Goal Wins' is a new documentary about the American Samoa international football team, widely regarded as the worst international team in the world.

On April 11 2001, in a qualifying match for the 2002 World Cup, American Samoa came to the attention of the world when they suffered a fairly comprehensive 31-0 defeat to Australia. Thirty. One. Nil. The first goal didn't come untill the 10th minute and then of course, the Noah-esque floodgates opened. The documentary follows the fortunes of new coach, Thomas Rongen, who has been given the unenviable task of making them slightly harder to beat.
