Video: Three futsal players combine for a quite brilliant free-kick routine

When something as bold as this comes off you’re entitled to celebrate… and boy did this futsal team celebrate afterwards.

When something as bold as this comes off you’re entitled to celebrate… and boy did this futsal team celebrate afterwards.

As was illustrated by a fantastically executed free-kick in Germany recently, the best routines are those that deceive the opposition defence and goalkeeper, or at least persuade them to drop their guard for a single, but very important second.

A futsal team in Argentina managed that recently with a routine that made two players look pretty foolish but was all part an elaborate ruse to allow a third player to run in and smash the ball home.

We should point out that the wall didn’t seem to be too put off by the theatrics but let that not take away from the amount of effort that went into it, even if more energy was expended by the quite frenzied celebrations afterwards.
