Forget all the furore over the belly putter, this is the golf club that is worth talking about.

Michael Furrh at Rolling Hills Golf Club yesterday got himself into the Guinness World Record books for the longest usable golf club.

The driver measures an impressive 14 feet, but as the saying goes, it’s not about the size, it is how you use it. And Furhh managed to drive the ball 146 yards. Not too shabby at all.

We find driving with a regular club a challenge in itself, never mind attempting a tee shot with this monster.
