One Rayo Vallecano fan must have been happy when Cristiano Ronaldo gave her his jersey at the weekend, only for her club’s ultras to insist she throw it away.
Madrid were lucky to leave the Campo de Fútbol de Vallaces with the three points on Saturday as they snuck a 3-2 victory, when the hosts looked likely to make it quite the comeback after going three goals down.
During the game, Ronaldo thumped a girl in the crowd with a wayward shot and to give the Portuguese man his dues, gave her his jersey at the half-time whistle.
While we’d imagine she was chuffed to have the Madrid star’s top, her fellow Rayo fans were not quite so pleased. Far from it in fact.
The Bukaneros — Rayo ultras — sitting around her had been shouting insults at Ronaldo and started chanting for her to burn the jersey. Sure what about health and safety when you have a point to make?

The girl wisely decided not to set light to the garment, but did gave in to the pressure and tossed the shirt back onto the pitch, with TV cameras catching a steward taking it into the tunnel.
No pleasing some people.
