In what could be Chris Hughton’s last game in charge, Man City showed no mercy against Norwich today and this stunner from Yaya Toure was the pick of their seven goals.

After the manner of their defeat to Chelsea last weekend, City were always going to be on a mission this week and considering how good they are on their own patch, Norwich were on a hiding to nothing at the Etihad.

Hughton probably didn’t expect it to be as bad as it turned out, however, as Manuel Pellegrini’s side fired in seven goals by seven different goalscorers (Silva, Negredo, Nastasic, Aguero, Dzeko and own goal were the others) with the brilliant free-kick by Yaya Toure below the pick of the bunch.

It’s the latest in a string of fabulous free-kicks by the Ivorian this season and gave John Ruddy – who did well to keep the score down to seven – absolutely no chance.

They’ll be chanting his name on the streets of Sligo tonight…
