A peach of a ball by McClean, finished to the net by Perch, has given Wigan the upper hand in tonight’s Championship play-off semi-final at Loftus Road.
Only nine minutes had passed when the Irish international curled a beauty of a ball straight down the corridor of uncertainty in the QPR area, where James Perch was waiting to tap the ball home and score what could be a crucial goal in the clash between two sides looking to return to the top flight at the first attempt.
There’s not many defences that would be able to deal with a ball of that quality and hopefully we’ll see more of that from McClean in a green jersey over the coming months.
