Vine: John O’Shea was not one bit impressed by Sherwood and Adebayor’s celebratory salute last night

How dare they be so smug in such close proximity to the wizard of Waterford?

How dare they be so smug in such close proximity to the wizard of Waterford?

It was a bad night at the office for everyone associated with Sunderland last night. They conceded five goals in a comprehensive trashing by Spurs at White Hart Lane and it’s looking like they’ll need a miracle if they are going to survive in the top flight.

So dominant were Spurs that interim boss Tim Sherwood, who has been notoriously prickly of late, even felt he could join Emmanuel Adebayor in his trademark salute after he knocked in Spurs’ fourth goal, an act that did not go down at all well with John O’Shea on the Sunderland bench in the background.

We haven’t seen O’Shea look that shocked since he successfully completed a nutmeg on Luis Figo all those years ago. Want to see it again for old times’ sake? Go on then…
