We think we should all call him by this new name next season.
Much maligned Norwich striker Ricky van Wolfswinkel had a torrid time last term. Regularly cited as the biggest flop of the season, he cost the Canaries £8.5 million but he couldn’t bring his goalscoring exploits from Holland or Portugal to the Premier League, scoring only once as Norwich went down.
The Dutchman is rumoured to be leaving Carrow Road this summer, possibly away from the English game altogether and he might be more inclined to do that after this belting new version of his name was conjured up on Sky Sports News tonight.
Amy Lewis gets it very wrong indeed, but we love the new name.
