One of the most anticipated sports books for many a year will arrive next month when Roy Keane releases his new autobiography, which, of course, has been ghost-written by one of the finest Irish writers of his and many a generation, Booker Prize-winning author Roddy Doyle.
To mark the release of the autobiography, Eason have revealed that they will be staging an exclusive event at the Royal Dublin Society (RDS) on Wednesday, 22 October at 8pm where Roy and Roddy will speak about their collaboration on the book and what readers can expect.
Tickets for the event will cost €40 and go on sale on Ticketmaster next Tuesday, September 16 at 10am. Not surprisingly, Eason expect them to sell out in minutes.
Titled The Second Half, the book is a combination of anecdote and reflection in Keane's inimitable voice and if it has anything like the impact of Keane’s previous collaboration with Eamon Dunphy, then readers should be in for a treat.
The Second Half will go on sale at Eason stores and online at www.easons.com from Thursday 9 October.Explore more on these topics:
