Not content with just the one spectacular goal, Real Sociedad have scored another absolute belter in their Champions League clash with Lyon tonight. Poor Lyon can’t catch a break.
Some goals that teams concede are preventable, but sometimes you just have to hold your hands up and admire the quality of the opposition’s strike; unfortunately for Lyon they have had to that twice in their home Champions League qualifier with Real Sociedad this evening.
Having taken the lead through a brilliant scissors kick by Antoine Griezmann, the Spanish side doubled their advantage with a strike from Haris Seferovic that was arguably even better than the first one, a vicious dipping effort from around 30 yards that came after lovely intricate move involving several players and a few delightful touches in the build-up.
A beauty, we think you’ll agree.
