Sometimes in basketball you just have to shoot and hope. That’s exactly what William Byrd High School’s Marvey’o Otey done recently and it certainly paid off for the youngster.
One of the William Byrd players managed to get the ball back from a rebound at their own net and he quickly lobbed it down the court towards Otey. However, the ball was thrown with a little too much gusto and Otey had to stretch out to get it.
What happens next is just a pleasure to watch…
The shot counted for 3-points, but sadly Otey’s incredible shot didn’t give his team the edge as they ended up losing 76-69 to Cave Spring.
