The club have confirmed on their official Twitter account that the Scot has been relieved of his duties
A season of poor results and lack of improvement has finally taken its toll on David Moyes, who has been officially sacked by Manchester United, according to the club this morning.

While the statement is short at the moment, and simply says that he has left the club, there will more than likely be an update later in the day with news on who is going to take over in the interim.
When the news was being reported yesterday that he was going to face the chop, Ryan Giggs was touted as a possible replacement until the end of the season, along with a list of high profile names including Klopp and Simeone.
