Let’s be honest lads, the weather has been awful recently. Aside from a couple of days of sunshine and actual heat back in April, it has been miserable.

Met Eireann are forecasting a return to more seasonal temperatures from this weekend onwards and although not exactly saying we’ve to stock up on sun screen, it does make for pleasant reading.

According to the Met Eireann website, “Saturday will be a fair weather day. Most places will be dry with some sunshine and afternoon temperatures of 17 to 19 degrees,

“Sunday will be mainly dry and bright, with sunny spells and just a few isolated showers. Temperatures will be a little lower than on Saturday but in sunshine should reach well in to the teens, winds will be light to moderate west to northwest.

“The further outlook to midweek is for mostly dry weather with bright or sunny spells, temperatures around normal for the time of year and mostly light or moderate westerly winds.”

Let’s hope that this is the start of a decent run of weather.
