Video: Irish lads get interviewed at baseball game and are predictably brilliant

"I've been an expert on baseball since about 5 o'clock this evening..."

Alan Loughnane

“I’ve been an expert on baseball since about 5 o’clock this evening…”

Two Irish lads attended a Texas Rangers baseball game on Sunday night and were somehow interviewed live on air by Fox Sports reporter Jim Knox.

Obviously the lads were sporting their obligatory county jerseys and managed to successfully play up the Irish stereotype abroad by referencing lucky charms and showing typical Irish generosity in offering to buy everyone a “nice frosty pint of Guinness”.

Now while the two lads seem to have indulged in a few pints of the wobbly water themselves, it was all in good fun and they were in great form while sharing their (not so) expert opinion with the American public.

The Tipp fan must have the luck of the Irish on his side, as the Americans would say, because he dodged having to buy everyone in attendance a pint after the Rangers lost the game 12-6.

This is the second time the Irish have made it on American TV for their appearance at a baseball game, next step, world domination…
