No mincing of words here.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny is currently on the campaign trail throughout the country ahead of the General Election and he wasn’t exactly welcomed with open arms in Wicklow earlier today.
Kenny was greeted with chants of ‘Out, Out, Out’ by bystanders as he attempted to make his way into the constituency office of Andrew Doyle TD in Wicklow today and that was at the mild end of the scale when it came to the abuse being directed towards the Taoiseach.
“Get the f**k out of Wicklow,” “You’re not welcome here” and “You fu**ing scumbag” were amongst the invectives shouted in his direction, as can be heard in the video below, which was recorded by TV3’s Fergal O’Brien earlier today.

Some of the language isn’t exactly easy on the ears, but it’s probably not the last place Enda will encounter such hostility before the election later this month.
