Barbeque vs. burritos in Dublin city centre, as both Boojum and Pitt Bros go to war.
We’re sure it’s all very, ehm, friendly but the rivalry seems to be strong between two competing food businesses in Dublin city centre.
Pitt Bros, a barbeque establishment in the Italian quarter close to Jervis Street, and Boojum, home of some fine burritos, are both based close to each other in a district that picks up a lot of passing trade.
On Friday, Pitt Bros decided to throw some serious shade at Boojum by printing a certain message on the windbreaker that divides the two establishments.
Three simple words: ‘Tired of burritos?’
Their rivals were not for taking this lying down, unsurprisingly, and came back with a response as fiery as a jalapeno.
OK, maybe not as fiery as a jalapeno, but it was still very clever.
This is what they wrote back…
The writing underneath the initial message reads, simply: ‘Try tacos instead’
Boom.
Boojum subsequently tweeted their neighbours with a friendly response.
Awh @PittBrosBBQ… Your subtle new graphics weren't so fruitful. Keep the BB boys but it looks like we got your Q! 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/42D2trFFhK

…to which Pitt Bros could only respond…
Just giving the good people of D1 options. #neighbours

…and then this…

However this escalates, there is one inescapable fact. We’re bloody starving.
Thanks to a certain Boojum employee for drawing our attention to this. Be lovely to one another.
