With two huge concerts on in Dublin last night, there were reports of chaos as people tried to make their way home.
People attempted to travel following both the Liam Gallagher gig in Malahide Castle, as well as the Taylor Swift gig at Croke Park, when apparently passengers on one of the trains began to interfere with the doors.
This led to the train being stopped between stations for what people on board claim was over 40 minutes.
At the time, Irish Rail tweeted about the delay from their account:
Delay to services Malahide to City Centre due to door issue, working to rectify ASAP

Customers on trains between Malahide and Portmarnock should not seek to interfere with doors as this is worsening delay – apologies, working to rectify

Update: train at Portmarnock with door issue will be taken out of service, trains will then resume onwards. Customers on following trains should not interfere with doors so we can ensure services can resume more quickly

Update: customers being detrained at Portmarnock at present. Following trains will then resume, albeit at significantly reduced speed between Malahide and Portmarnock. Please remain on board services to ensure we can resume. We apologise to all affected

However, passengers on board had a different take on the events:
@IrishRail it was despicable what happened on the dart back from malahide this evening, we all understand things to go wrong, but to leave people for over 40 mins on a closed door dart with no communication is inexcusable, there were people panicking & confused- not cool

Absolute chaos coming home from Malahide tonight. Stuck on the #Dart for 45 minutes before some idiots decided to smash a window & jump off. Most of the train followed them & walked the tracks to the next station pic.twitter.com/vIfaheJstE

Speaking to JOE, Maria Clarke, one of the passengers on the DART at the time, told us about the situation at the time:
“On a DART from Malahide last night after the [Liam Gallagher] concert and we were stopped between stations just after Malahide. Apparently the train in front was being vandalized so we were held up.
“After an hour of being stuck some idiots broke a window and all started climbing out onto the track. Others were peeing in corners and being generally disgusting.
“The guards finally arrived and we got as far as Connolly before being told the dart would go no further. Disgraceful carry on!”
Thank you to Maria Clarke for both of the images.
