Not long to go now…
All aboard the hype train for The Sinner season two.
We’ve been keeping an eye on developments for what’s coming next in the sinister Netflix/USA Network drama, with the first official plot details promising a very different direction.
Then came the teasers, which proved suitably creepy and disturbing.
Now, with just a few weeks to go until the show’s return, we take a look at the newest promo, and sure enough it’s all very dark and mysterious.
We know that Bill Pullman is returning, with Jessica Biel’s character set to step into the shadows in favour of new female lead Carrie Coon.
Coon provided excellent work in the likes of Gone Girl, The Leftovers and even popped up as one of Thanos’ brigade of henchmen and women in Avengers: Infinity War, so her presence here is more than welcome.
Season two see find Pullman’s Detective Harry Ambrose returning to his rural New York hometown to examine a new harrowing crime – parents murdered by their 11-year-old son.
With no obvious motive in place, Ambrose takes a deep dive into the boy’s psyche while going up against those who mean to protect their town’s secrets at all costs.
