That’s Limerick City.
Limerick City is a sea of green and white tonight as the Treaty County celebrates the end of its 45-year wait for a win in the All-Ireland Hurling Final.
A hero’s welcome, 120,000 fans strong, has awaited the team’s open-top bus tour which is parading through the city with the long sought-after Liam MacCarthy Cup.
Of course, with that many Irish people in one place, celebrating something so meaningful, you can expect a few glorious moments of madness.
Luckily, Cian Lynch was there to provide the madness and Limerick Leader journalist Fintan Walsh was on hand to capture the scenes.
Some well-prepared fan tossed a bottle of Buckfast (the fact that it’s Buckfast makes it so much better, right?) up to the top deck, Lynch caught it, shook it up as if it were a bottle of champagne, and then gave the fans below a champagne shower. Except instead of champagne, it was fortified wine.
A thing of beauty:
Lads, someone just threw Cian Lynch Buckfast and popped it like champagne and the crowd went wild. Dats Limerick citaaaaaay #LuimneachAbu pic.twitter.com/0m1UhgzScJ

One fan below the bus seemed to absorb most of the spillage, but he certainly didn’t seem to mind.
