A Garda has been arrested in Dublin following an investigation into alleged drug offences.
Gardaí seized a small quantity of controlled drugs and arrested a man in his 30s in the Dublin area on Sunday night.
He was detained at a Dublin garda station and has since been released without charge. A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
“The arrested man is a serving member of An Garda Síochána and has been suspended from duty,” a Garda spokesperson confirmed.
“No further information is available at this time, the investigation in ongoing,” the spokesperson added.
