Roughly a year and a half ago, details emerged of a new Netflix-produced documentary focusing on the disappearance of Madeleine McCann, and we now have our first look at the trailer.
The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann will follow what has been called “the world’s most famous missing child case”, and will take a detailed look at the disappearance of 3-year-old Madeleine McCann, who vanished while on holiday with her family.
By blending new interviews with more than 40 contributors, 120 hours of interviews, archival news footage and reenactments, the eight-part docu-series goes beyond the headlines and takes a unique look at the facts of the case as well as its impact on media standards around the world.
Directed by Chris Smith, the man behind Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened, we imagine that everyone will be talking about this when it comes out.

It has been reported that Madeleine’s parents Kate and Gerry refused to take part in the docu-series, but based on the trailer, it appears that they will still be heavily referenced, despite not having a direct involvement.
The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann will be released on Netflix on 15 March.
