Two males allegedly stole a phone from a pedestrian having confronted them with a gun at the scene.
Gardaí are investigating an armed robbery that took place in broad daylight near the Guinness Storehouse in Dublin on Monday evening.
In a statement to JOE, Gardaí said that two males armed with what is believed to be a gun allegedly stole a phone from a pedestrian at Long’s Place, Dublin 8, at approximately 6pm on Monday evening (21 October).
It is believed that the pedestrian who was confronted is a tourist who was visiting the Guinness Storehouse yesterday.
Video footage of the incident posted on Twitter by RTÉ Radio 1 shows a woman being confronted by two men before another pedestrian arrives, attempts to reason with the two men and comforts the woman after the two men leave the scene.

Gardaí have confirmed that no injuries were reported, no arrests have yet been made and investigations are ongoing.
