Man arrested in Armagh following sudden death of a baby

The Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) have confirmed that a man has been arrested in Armagh following the sudden death of a baby.

The PSNI’s Major Investigation Team detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the sudden death of a baby in the Keady area of Armagh on Tuesday (26 November).

A 31-year-old man has been arrested in the Craigavon area and has been taken to Banbridge Police Station, where he is being questioned by detectives.

A post-mortem is due to take place to determine the cause of death of the baby.

No further details have been given at this time.
