Onward is coming to Disney+ next month

Onward

One of the biggest films of 2020 is coming to the streaming service.

Onward, one of the most highly-anticipated movies of the year, is coming to Disney+ in October.

The Pixar animated film will be available on the streaming service from 2 October onward (sorry, we had to),

Onward is set in a suburban fantasy world, where two teenage elf brothers embark on a quest to discover if there is still magic out there.

The brothers are played by Tom Holland (Spider-Man) and Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy, Parks and Rec), both of whom are perhaps better known for saving the universe in the MCU.

Their mother will be voiced by none other than Julia Louis-Dreyfus, the comedic legend from the likes of Seinfeld and VEEP.

It’s directed by Dan Scanlon, who also did Monsters University, which is pretty damn good as far as sequels go, while Octavia Spencer also provided her voice to the picture.

It was originally released on 6 March 2020, but only got about two weeks in cinemas in most countries due to the outbreak of Covid-19 across the world.

Covid has majorly affected the way the movie industry will operate going forward, with Hamilton and Mulan also among the titles that were due to get a cinema release, but were uploaded to Disney+ instead.
