It’s the second arrest as part of this investigation.

A man in his 20s has been arrested as part of an investigation into allegations of theft at an accountancy firm between 2019 and 2020.

It follows a complaint made by the Dublin-based company to the Garda National Economic Crime Bureau (GNECB) in December.

The arrest was made as part of an ongoing investigation relating to false claims for expenses at the company by an employee, in excess of €1,000,000.

The arrested man is currently detained in Terenure Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

This is the second such arrest made as part of this investigation after another man was initially arrested in March.

Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
