Superman Returns – ITV2 – 6pm

The second one.

Arthur – RTÉ2 – 9pm

Russell Brand stars as a millionaire playboy in this rom-com remake.

The Mountain Between Us – E4 – 9pm

Idris Elba and Kate Winslet survive a plane crash on a barren mountain. Hilarity ensues.

Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues – Comedy Central – 9pm

Not as good as the first, but still an incredibly quotable film.

The Sisters Brothers – BBC Two – 10pm

Our top pick for tonight is an underrated modern western that’s well worth your time.

John C. Reilly and Joaquin Phoenix star as the titular brothers, assassins who work during the American gold rush.

The film also features the final on-screen role from Rutger Hauer of Blade Runner fame.

Well worth a watch.

The Ballad of Shirley Collins – TG4 – 11.05pm

A documentary about one of folk music’s most unique and tragic stories.

Blue Streak – ITV4 – 11.10pm

A buddy-cop comedy starring Martin Lawrence and Luke Wilson.

Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping – Film4 – 11.25pm

The Lonely Island boys hit the big screen, parodying the biggest pop stars of the 2010s.

Life On The Line – BBC One – 12am

John Travolta fights a storm. No, we’re serious.

St Vincent – Channel 4 – 12am

Bill Murray stars as a crusty old man with a heart of gold.
