A terrifying and thrilling creature feature is among the movies on TV tonight

Stephen Porzio

It received an 84% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Need a movie this Tuesday night?

Well, honestly, we’d recommend people head down to their local cinema and check out some of the great new releases on offer, including The Banshees of Inisherin, Barbarian and Watcher.

That said, if you had your heart set on a quiet night in this evening, here are the films airing on TV…

Role Models – Comedy Central – 9pm

Paul Rudd and Seann William Scott star in this crude but very funny comedy that had its 14th anniversary this week.

Men in Black: International – RTÉ2 – 9pm

Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson take over from Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith in this sci-fi action comedy spin-off. Our own Liam Neeson also features.

The Dry – Shy Showcase – 9pm

This acclaimed Australian mystery thriller starring Eric Bana was a hit in its home country back in 2020.

Them That Follow – Film4 – 9pm

Kaitlyn Dever, Olivia Colman and Walton Goggins are among the cast of this 2019 thriller set in a remote community in the Appalachian region of the US.

US Marshals – Turner Classic Movies – 9pm

Tommy Lee Jones reprises the character he won an Oscar for playing in The Fugitive for this much less gripping spin-off. Wesley Snipes and Robert Downey Jr are in support.

Bad Samaritan – Horror Xtra – 10.45pm

In this 2018 thriller, Robert Sheehan plays a parking valet who burglarises the houses of the drivers he services, only to discover one of his rich customers (David Tennant) is a serial killer.

Crawl – Film4 – 10.55pm

Our pick for tonight centres around a daughter (Kaya Scodelario, The Maze Runner) and father (Barry Pepper, 25th Hour) who find themselves trapped in their home and preyed upon by alligators during a massive hurricane in Florida.

Anchored by two fine performances, taut direction and a story that constantly puts its lead characters in ever-increasingly terrifying situations, Crawl is one of the best creature features of recent years.

It also was a massive hit upon release in 2019 and earned an impressive 84% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Ransom – Turner Classic Movies – 11.40pm

If you missed this ’90s gem when we recommended it last week, you have another chance to catch it.

Half Past Dead – ITV4 – 11.50pm

In comparison to Crawl, this Steven Seagal action vehicle has a 3% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
