Our pick for tonight is this 2012 drama focusing on an airline pilot (Denzel Washington) who saves almost all his passengers when his aircraft gets into trouble. However, an investigation into the crash brings some troubling information to light.
Directed by Robert Zemeckis (the Back to the Future trilogy, Forrest Gump), Flight is noteworthy for its incredibly tense plane crash sequence, as well as Washington’s Oscar-nominated performance in which the actor got to play one of his most complex characters to date.

This breakthrough thriller from legendary filmmaker John Carpenter (Halloween, The Thing) about a defunct police precinct whose skeleton crew is targeted by a vicious criminal gang remains one of the tensest movies of all time.
Await Further Instructions – Horror Xtra – 10.55pm
In this creepy British horror, a family wakes up on Christmas Day to find a mysterious black substance surrounding their house while their TV screen broadcasts a single message: “Stay indoors and await further instructions.”
