As the winner of TV3’s Apprentice was revealed on Monday night, former candidate Jamie Moran announced his own success in his new role with Broderick’s Brother’s homemade cakes and bars with the help of JOE favourite Georgia Salpa.
Jamie will be joining the Broderick’s Brothers on a nationwide campaign in his new vintage company car, “The Chocolate Rocket†in a bid to grow sales throughout Ireland.
The Broderick’s Brothers featured in the Spar-sponsored programme of TV3’s The Apprentice and subsequently earned themselves a listing in Spar stores nationwide. In the four weeks subsequent to their bars appeared on TV, the company saw a huge uplift in sales, selling more than 100,000 bars and cakes.
The Chocolate Rocket tour which will begin in January is aimed at encouraging people to continue to buy local Irish products like Broderick’s Brothers cakes and snack bars and to support the Spar retailers who have given the products a platform to succeed in a tough economic climate.
“We were very impressed with Jamie during the filming of the show, he has a great attitude to work and passion for what he is doing, we wanted someone to join our team who wasn’t afraid to get stuck in, " said Bernard Broderick, sales director with the family business.
"We are a young Irish company who have a love of all things sweet and are delighted to have Jamie on board to help us drive business.â€
Jamie left Bill Cullen’s boardroom in a surprise double firing. “Sometimes losing brings unexpected opportunities and my new role with the Broderick’s Brothers is one of those," he said "I am delighted to be working with this exciting Irish brand, the guys are a hardworking family business with an impressive line up of products.â€
