The retail price for the much-anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 has finally been confirmed - and it's got people talking.
GTA 6 is a phrase that has come to symbolise many meanings.
Whether it's in reference to something people felt was impossible, something severely delayed or unlikely to happen, or just the game itself, it's safe to say that it's the most anticipated video game ever.
While the hype train may have slightly derailed in recent months with the delay being repeatedly extended after the announcement of the game, it's sure to regain interest as we approach the final release date.
GTA 6 was first announced by Rockstar in December 2023 with a feature-length trailer which sent the internet into a frenzy.
The game, at the time, came with a 2025 release window.
However, this was short-lived as in May 2025, the release date was pushed back to 26 May 2026.
The company said it needed additional development time to reach the quality players expected.
Then, in November 2025, the release date was once again pushed back to 19 November 2026.
With this date holding for the time being, pre-orders are set to open from tomorrow (25 June) and the price of the game has been revealed too.
Rockstar revealed that the Standard Edition of the game will cost $79.99 (€71).
Meanwhile, the Ultimate Edition will be available for $99.99 (€88).
For those wondering what the difference between the Ultimate and Standard editions of the games, Rockstar's official site disclosed that too.
It said that Ultimate Edition buyers will get their hands on an "exclusive collection" of in-game items, including a selection of unique vehicles, matching revolvers for the protagonist duo, bonus customization options for guns, vehicles, and clothing, and more.
So, there it is, GTA 6 is closer than ever now!
