And its release date has been announced for later this year!

Almost a year to the day since the previous entry in the series, Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has finally been confirmed to arrive for players in late 2023.

There have been rumours swirling about the threequel, especially after the huge success of 2022’s Modern Warfare 2, which became the fastest Call of Duty game to generate $1 billion in revenue, breaking the benchmark in just 10 days.

The announcement for Modern Warfare 3 arrived via a very teaser’y teaser on the official Call Of Duty social media accounts, which admittedly doesn’t give too much away:

As far as any kind of plot synopsis goes, all we get from the game developers is “The ultimate threat awaits”. Fans waiting on more detailed info won’t have to hang on for too much longer, as more Modern Warfare 3 specifics are set to drop within a Call Of Duty: Warzone battle royale event, which is rumoured to be taking place on Thursday 17 August.

Modern Warfare 3 is due to arrive on Friday 10 November this year, and while the release platforms have not yet been confirmed, it is expected to arrive on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
