Holly Willoughby given major pay rise ahead of This Morning return

Holly Willoughby has been offered a major pay rise ahead of her This Morning return.

According to reports, Holly Willoughby will be paid an additional £300,000 for hosting the show.

She previously earned £700,000 for her presenting gig on the popular ITV show, but producers agreed on increasing her wage because she is “the heart of the show”.

The pay rise comes after the Phillip Schofield scandal.

A source told MailOnline, “Holly is at the heart of the show’s future and success and ITV execs want her to steer a steady ship out of a rocky year.”

Willoughby’s new co-host has not yet been confirmed, but the team will be rotated.

The source also confirmed Alison Hammond will be the first co-host Holly will present with.

“It’ll be a strong start with Alison, kicking off as a dream team,” they said.

Irish presenter Craig Doyle, Dermot O’Leary, and Josie Gibson will also present the show.

“Holly’s pay deal is up for negotiation in a few months so they are -putting together a lucrative package that will reflect her added responsibility without Phil[lip Schofield], and they are prepared to go up to £ 1 million a year.”

Willoughby started her usual eight-week summer break from the show last month, she is expected to return in early September.
