It’s October, the spookiest month of the year. Not only that but The Nightmare Realm is back in the RDS to make it even spookier as we prepare for Halloween.
We got a first look last weekend and, let me tell you, you best be prepared if you plan on paying a visit. This year The Nightmare Realm has yet again managed to scare the living daylights out of us.
As we arrived, we were greeted by some eerie-looking characters in the Apocalypse food and drinks entertainment area, where you can also share the scare on social media. You may think it’s safe to socialise with your friends as you wait to begin the terrifying experience. Just don’t get too comfortable because these scary creatures can surprise you when you least expect it.
The time soon came for us to enter The Nightmare Realm, and even with the haunting build up in the Apocalypse area, it’s safe to say that we weren’t ready for what was to come.
Soon, our traumatising journey began and, without giving too much away, we got the chance to test out the new interactive sets, vivid special effects and live creatures preying on our deepest fears and pushing the boundaries of our sanity. It wasn’t pleasant. It’s not supposed to be, but we just wanted the torture to end!
If you think you’re brave enough to take on The Nightmare Realm, we highly recommend that you get down to the RDS Dublin from 29 September to 5 November or Kennedy Quay on the Port of Cork from 3 October to 5 November.
