Very much a passion project for its A-list director Oliver Stone (Natural Born Killers, JFK, Platoon), Savages is a crime flick that mixes a hot young cast with some big name Hollywood veterans. Aaron Taylor Johnson and Taylor Kitsch are two cannabis dealing buddies who happen to share the same girlfriend - the stunning Blake Lively - in an arrangement that all three are aware of.
Their unique situation becomes drastically dangerous when Salma Hayek’s drug cartel boss has their other half kidnaped, after they refuse to cooperate with her and her dodgy associates. Also starring are Oscar winner Benicio Del Toro and John Travolta.
JOE.ie along with Universal Pictures Ireland are hosting an exclusive early screening of the film on Thursday, September 13th at The Lighthouse Cinema in Dublin’s Smithfield at 6.30pm.
